After planting a church in Corinth, Paul is writing them to correct schixms and rebuke tolerated sins.  He starts his letter reminding the Corinthian church who they are in Christ, and who they will be when Christ returns.  Let's look at these two foundational aspects of God's church..

I.  Who they are in Christ

    A.  Who is Paul vs. 1

    B.  They are the church of God vs. 2

    C.  They are sancified in Christ Jesus called saints vs. 2

    D.  They are not alone vs. 2

    E.  They have God's grace vs. 4-6

II.  Who they will be when Christ returns

     A.  Jesus will be revealed vs. 7

     B.  They will be blameless
